Choctaw Library Tellabration Nov. 13
TELLABRATION:
AN EVENING OF STORYTELLING!
Time: 6:00pm-7:30pm Location: Choctaw Public Library, Choctaw, Oklahoma . All Ages .

An evening of storytelling suitable for all ages is being hosted at the Chocataw Public Library, Choctaw, Oklahoma on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 6:00 to 7:300 p.m. Tellabration is celebrated in communities throughout the world each November.
Oklahoma
Storytelling artists slated to participate include featured teller Rosemary Czarski of
Jones, OK. Other tellers include Carol Roberts, Susie L. Beasley, Liz Parker,
Marilyn A. Hudson, Molly Lemmons, Kathryn Thurman, and Barbara Jones.
Light

MCALESTER LIBRARY VISIT
Storyteller and author Marilyn A. Hudson will be visiting McAlester, Oklahoma on July 18 and 19th for programs at the public library. On Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. she will present stories for children - from epic tales, to spooky fun, and participatory hilarity!
Then, on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. she will present about her writing and storytelling in a program of haunting tales as 'The Ghost Teller', Oklahoma's only storyteller specializing in ghost tales and haunting legends. She will have on hand some copies of her short story collection, The Bones of Summer: a collection of chilling tales and the horror-thriller novel she co-authored, The Mound.

Hudson Joins Board of Directors of Territory Tellers
Marilyn A. Hudson was confirmed as a member the Board of Directors of a statewide arts organization in June at a conference held on the campus of Seminole State College. This volunteer position will include long range and strategic planning, marketing and promoting, and assisting in various organizational, educational, training, and concert style events around the state.
The Territory Tellers www.territorytellers.org is a 501 (c ) 3 non-profit organization and the Oklahoma's only statewide organization for story artisans, story listeners, and anyone who shares a love for the art of oral storytelling. Territory Tellers achieves it missions by offering opportunities to learn the art of storytelling, by supporting storytelling concerts, conductingworkshops and providing information and training at professional conferences in local and regional events.
Each year the group sponsor The Spirit of Oklahoma Storytelling Festival which showcases master level talent from around the country and promotes regional performers. The group also contributes talent and support to the Oklahoma City StorytellingFestival (Arts Council of Oklahoma City) and hold various events in November around the state in conjunction with the national celebration of storytelling for adults and families called “Tellabration!” ®.
