She was an early Oklahoma City business woman, a land owner, a wheeler-dealer and sharp judge of people...she was also a notorious 'Madam' in "Hell's Half Acre.'  She arrived before the dust had settled on the 1889 Land Run and saw opportunity all around her...
This program includes nuggets of history, some true crime, mystery, and the story of one woman's rise to fame and notoriety.  In costume, through stories, and engaging narrative, the tale of how one woman rose to power is shared by Marilyn A. Hudson.
Hudson is an author, researcher, and storyteller whose dramatic and skillful presentations have delighted audiences across the state.

A collection of stories about experiences of real people in the history of the United States.

"Things of Value" - Young bride Elizabeth was certain she knew what was valuable in her life. When her husband packs them on a wagon to head to Oregon life has some surprises in store .

“Two Sisters and A War”- Two sisters married two brothers and as the Civil War began the family, once so close, divided. Hear the adventures of these two real sisters as they face hardships and hardheaded husbands.

“The Bottomless Well” – When Davy is asked to help his father make the Cherokee Strip Land Run he discovers some important things. (Can be used with younger audiences)
