MARILYN A. HUDSON: Storyteller from Stroud Oklahoma

Since moving to Stroud I have been searching for my kicks, as the old song says, along Route 66!

Marilyn A. Hudson, being interviewed
on KUSH radio.

Enjoying learning new stories, visiting new places, even though in a mask one sometimes felt like every encounter should be preceded by "Stick Em Up, Pardner!"

Now looking into a somewhat normal Fall, I am looking forward to sharing some spooky stories, to sharing Scottish tales at a festival in Mid West City and so much more!

I am dusting off my box of stories, getting my stories in place, and look forward to sharing in local classes, libraries, and community centers over the coming months.

I have stories about "Oklahoma Bad Girls" - those gals who made the news in Gilded Age Oklahoma! I have stories of the Strange and Spooky (Ghosts, UFO's and so much more!), along with old legends, history, and myths.

I can arrange stories that are age appropriate, entertaining, and even educational! As a retired public librarian and school library media specialist I have experience doing all three.

Contact me and let's schedule sometime in the region of Stroud - on Route 66! - Oklahoma!

STORYTELLER AND AUTHOR RELOCATES

Author and storyteller Marilyn A. Hudson has relocated to the "Mother Road" and looks forward to getting her "KICKS ON ROUTE 66" in Stroud, Oklahoma. Email and Facebook contacts remain unchanged.  While everyone waits for life to normalize - she will be busy writing and publishing. Maybe an occasional "Zoom" interview along the way...

WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS - WRITE A BOOK!

The Pandemic and Quarantine of 2020 threw many people for an unexpected loop. Events and programs planned fell by the wayside.  Since, the fall already sees many more cancellations - this will be a unique year.

As a result of being stuck at home I have finished one historic book called Sooner Saucers: Oklahoma UFOs 1947-1969. It is now available via Amazon in print and Kindle.

In addition, a move is my future, and that will further put a little kink in life. It is my intention, however, as soon as I am settled in my new home to address finishing several works that are about half done at present.  Another historic title that will conclude my Neighborhood of Hell series. A historic fiction novel and possibly another title.

So, maybe 2021 will be a phenomenal year for all of us!

IN THE TIME OF THE VIRUS - STORYTELLING ON HOLD

As so many others across the land the COVID-19 quarantine and ramifications are taking their toll. As of this date, almost all summer events on my schedule have been cancelled by their planners or canceled due to city or state guidelines.

I hope - that the fall will bring more possibilities! I am scheduled to do a presentation at a writer's conference in October and - if no virus threatens - hope to schedule some "Ghost Teller" appearances as well.

With fingers firmly crossed - - - See you soon!

Fun This October ParaFEST IN OKC OCT. 12,2019

I am looking forward to several events this October - my favorite month after all!   I will speak to a adult class at a local institution exploring the history and stories of UFO's and other odd things!  I will do a presentation at a conference on the same topic, do storytelling at three private events and perhaps join an author panel and then do some storytelling for a library if plans go through!
